Since eCape made the change to building websites exclusively on the WordPress platform 3 years ago, we have never looked back. We continue to be impressed by this quickly evolving platform and its many hundreds of useful plugins, or applications. One plugin which is particularly impressive is WooCommerce. Just two recent examples of eCape sites show how big or small you can use WooCommerce. For a site we built, InternshipQuest.com, we used Woo to make a shopping cart for their digital products, in other words, products that the customer downloads after thepayment has been processed.
On a much larger scale, we used WooCommerce to build out a new site for City Schemes , a contemporary furniture store in Cambridge, MA. There are hundreds of products, each with several photos and attributes with previews. See how you can preview this dresser in different woods here. This sort of functionality would have to have been custom scripted (and therefore very expensive) just a few years ago.
With WooCommerce, it’s easily configurable.

All three of eCape’s content sites – CapeCodTravel.com, WeddingsonCapeCod.com, and CapeCodToday.com, have been upgraded to Drupal 7 and completely redesigned. While we use WordPress exclusively for customer websites, we use Drupal for the complex and customized needs of our content sites. Site users will find better mobile responsiveness, speed, and security on our newly upgraded sites.
