Online limbo continues at the Times

Cape Cod TimesAs of Friday, it will be a month since Greg Bryant, the online editor at the Cape Cod Times, temporarily suspended the paper's online forum because of vitriolic postings.
"Within the next few days I will decide whether to pull the plug," Bryant wrote on Sept. 28. "Yes. Totally pull the plug. Why? As always, the abuse of the few,"  those who "attack each other on the most base level" and "spew hate."
All of which is unfortunate for my former colleague, a decent and funny guy I enjoyed working with. He got me started on my first blog nearly two years ago, an online version of the Political Notes column. So if you are looking for someone to blame ...
Here's hoping you find a way out of your dilemma, Greg. You deserve better.
