Driver injured, traffic slowed in Route 6 crash
WEST BARNSTABLE – One person was taken to Cape Cod Hospital with serious but non life-threatening injuries after a crash on Route 6 Friday afternoon. The crash happened shortly before 4 PM on the eastbound side just past exit 6 in the median. Afternoon commuters headed to the outer Cape were slowed until the wreckage was cleared. State Police are investigating the crash.

Co-workers free man trapped in trench collapse
- Co-workers from the Bortolotti Construction Company rescued one of their own after he was reportedly buried up to his waist when a trench they were working on collapsed. It happened off Main Street in Cotuit around 2:30 PM.

Man airlifted after scaffold accident
- A man was flown to a Boston Hospital after apparently falling off a scaffold at a job site on Tower Hill Road in Osterville today. The incident is under investigation and further details were not immediately available.

Minor injuries in Chatham Crash
- No serious injuries were reported in this crash on Route 28 in Chatham shortly after 10 AM. The crash happened at the intersection of Ryder's Cove Road. Chatham Police are investigating the crash. Further details were not immediately available. Photo courtesy of the Cape Cod Chronicle.

Route 28 closed in Dennis due to power line fire
DENNIS - A section of Route 28 in Dennisport was closed for a time this morning to a burning utility pole. Wires that apparently sparked the fire also fell to the ground. Morning commuters may still experience delays in the area. Power outages are also being reported in the area. NStar crews are working on the situation.

Coast Guard airlifts injured fisherman

- A helicopter from Air Station Cape Cod plucked an injured fisherman from his vessel 75 southeast of Nantucket on Thursday.

The 130 foot Sea Watcher radioed in that 53-year old Wojciech Bielunas of Albrightsville, PA had crushed is leg aboard ship.
