Eastham cruiser crash; Yarmouth delivery truck crash

Gas station robbery in Hyannis
HYANNIS - Police are investigating an apparent armed robbery at the Sav-On gas station on West Main Street around 9:30 PM. A male reportedly brandished a knife and made off with an undetermined amount of cash. A heavy police presence because a Melody Tent show was letting out quickly caught up to and arrested a suspect 33-year old Thomas Musgrave of Hyannis. Basement fire hits Cotuit home
COTUIT - A fire that apparently started in the basement damaged a house at 95 Ralyn Road Friday afternoon. Firefighters from Centerville and Mashpee and West Barnstable also responded. The fire was quickly put out and no injuries were reported. The cause is under investigation. Posted on 8/19 at 2:00 AM.

Boy airlifted after bicycle accident at canal
BOURNE - A 9-year old boy was airlifted to New England Medical Center after a bicycle accident on the trail along the Cape Cod Canal Friday morning. The boy reportedly suffered a serious injury to one of his extremities.

Delivery truck crashes into bushes, vehicles
YARMOUTH - A DHL delivery van went out of control in front of 250 Higgins Crowell Road this morning. The van crashed into several vehicles and some bushes.

The driver was taken to the hospital for evaluation. No one else was injured.

Yarmouth Police are investigating the crash.

Eastham officer shaken up as cruiser rear-ended
WELLFLEET - An Eastham police officer was taken to Cape Cod Hospital for evaluation after his cruiser was rear-ended on Route 6 around 9:45 AM. Officer Joshua Adams was waiting to make a left turn into the Wellfleet Cinemas when his cruiser was struck from behind by a vehicle driven by Steven Sandler of Larchmont, NY. An investigation by Wellfleet Police led to Sandler being cited for failing to use care in stopping. Posted on 8/18 at 3:00 PM.
