Man seriously injured in Hyannis crash
HYANNIS - One man was seriously injured in a crash in Hyannis early Wednesday morning. His vehicle was traveling on Old Colony Road around 1 AM when it apparently went out of control and flipped over a guard rail landing on its roof. Firefighters spent about 30 minutes extricating 43-year old Christopher Doherty of Yarmouth who was rushed to Cape Cod Hospital. The crash is under investigation by Barnstable Police. Man arrested for third OUI
HYANNIS - A Yarmouth man was arrested for his third OUI early this morning. Barnstable Police allegedly spotted 50-year old Andrew Bernard run a red light on Route 132 and then make an illegal left turn into the Tiki Port restaurant parking lot. The officier noticed signs of intoxication and needed assistance from a state trooper when Bernard reportedly began to struggle while he was being handcuffed. Posted on 8/30 at 5:00 PM.

WORCESTER
- A Cape Cod woman has been indicted in an alleged murder for hire scheme. The Worcester Telegram and Gazette is reporting 42-year old Caroline Kotoski was indicted after allegedly propositioning a man in 2004 to murder her husband for $7500 up front and $7500 more after the murder was complete. That man turned out to be  an undercover state trooper. She is due back in a Worcester court in November when her attorney reportedly plans an insanity plea. Posted on 8/29 at 6:00 PM.

Items from cars and boats being stolen on upper Cape
MASHPEE
- Police in Mashpee are warning people to lock their vehicles after a rash of break ins across town. In the past month some 40-50 people have called in reports of items such as cell phones being stolen out of vehicles. Meanwhile in Bourne a similar alarm is being sounded after a series of incidents on boats. In some cases equipment is stolen off the boats while in other cases the boats themselves are stolen. Crash leads to OUI arrest, stolen golf clubs
YARMOUTH - An early morning crash in Yarmouth led to a Barnstable man being arrested for OUI and the alleged discovery of stolen golf clubs. About 2:30 AM Police found a Jeep crashed on Route 6A at Summer Street. The driver identified as 33-year old Brian Walls reportedly failed sobriety tests and was arrested for OUI. A concerned citizen told police at the scene they had seen Walls remove a large bag from the vehicle and hide it before the police arrived. After confirming the clubs had been stolen during an earlier breaking at the Hyannis Golf pro shop on Route 132 in Barnstable Walls was additionally charged with receiving stolen property.
