Dennis stabbing suspect captured in Barnstable
BARNSTABLE - Barnstable Police captured a man wanted by Dennis Police for a stabbing back on September 17th. Terry Burdick was picked up Tuesday night. The stabbing occurred outside the Christy's on Route 28 in Dennis. Read our original story. Posted on 9/28 at 6:30 AM.

Small fire at Mattacheese Middle School in Yarmouth
YARMOUTH - A small fire caused smoke to fill the Mattacheese Middle School on Higgins Crowell Road shortly after 4:30 AM. Firefighters discovered an electric fan had caught fire. It was removed from the building and firefighters ventilated the smoke from the building. School is expected to be open as usual today. Posted on 9/28 at 5:00 AM.

Construction worker Medflighted after fall
CHATHAM
- A construction worker was flown to a Boston hospital after a fall on a job site in Chatham Wednesday morning. Rescuers were called around 8;30 AM to 432 Harborview Lane where a foundation was being put in.

40-year old Gabriel Macedo, who the Times reports works for Cape Concrete Forms, was taken to Chatham Airport and airlifted to Mass General Hospital.

Man arrested for OUI third offense after Yarmouth crash
YARMOUTH
- A local man is charged with his  OUI third offense after crashing his pickup into a utility pole on Old Townhouse Road around 10:30 PM Tuesday night. 37-year old Gary Trop was also charged with operating to endanger and marked lanes violation. Yarmouth officers noted a strong odor of alcohol and a bottle of vodka was discovered.

Trop was taken to CCH for evaluation and held overnight at the Yarmouth Police station pending arraignment in Barnstable District Court. The pole had just recently been installed to replace another one and was not carrying any wires yet. Posted on 9/27 at 2:00 PM. YPD photo.
