Christy's robbed in Hyannis
HYANNIS
- Barnstable Police made quick work of an apparent robbery at the Christy's Market on Bearses Way near Route 28 just after midnight. According to reports a subject allegedly entered the store with a rag over his face and intimated he had a gun under his shirt. He made off with an undetermined amount of cash but didn't get far. A Barnstable Police officer was stationed by Hiramar Road and saw the suspect running away as the call came over his radio. With the help of a K-9 police quickly arrested 33-year old Michael James and charged him with armed robbery. They say he actually had an ice scraper under his shirt.
