- NStar equipment problems were apparently the cause of some brief power interruptions Wednesday afternoon. The problems apparently originated in power substations. Parts of Orleans, Harwich and Hyannis were reportedly involved. Posted on 11/01 at 6:00 PM.

One person seriously injured in Mill crash

- One person was seriously injured in a two vehicle crash in Marstons Mills. The crash happened sometime after 10:30 AM Wednesday on Route 28 at South County Road. Barnstable Police are investigating. Further details were not immediately available. Posted on 11/02 at 12:00 AM.

Work crew hits gas main in Mills
MARSTONS MILLS
- A landscaping crew accidentally severed a 2 inch gas main in Marstons Mills Wednesday morning. The crew was working on Baxter Neck Road about 9 AM. A Keyspan crew was able to quickly cap the leak and no injuries were reported. Posted on 11/02 at 12:00 AM.
