Woman rushed to hospital from Marconi Beach
WELLFLEET - A woman was rushed to Cape Cod Hospital reportedly suffering from serious hypothermia in a bizarre incident at Marconi Beach early Sunday morning. Sources tell CWN it appears the woman and a male companion may have simply decided to go for a swim about 4:30 AM. Air temperatures were in the mid 40's and the water temperature was about 50 degrees. The woman apparently became hypothermic and was rushed to CCH. National Park Service rangers have so far been unavailable for comment but because all park beaches are posted as closed between midnight and 6 AM the two could be cited for trespassing.
