Charges against booted Worthington juror dropped
FALMOUTH - Accessory charges against booted Worthington trial juror Rachel Huffman have been dropped. 7News reports District Attorney Michael O'Keefe says there is not enough evidence to warrant continuing with the case. Huffman had been charged as an accessory after the fact in a shooting in Falmouth.

She still faces larceny under $250 and possession of stolen RMV document charges. Her boyfriend Kyle Hicks remains locked up in connection with the attempted murder. She was tossed off the Worthington trial jury after phone calls with Hicks showed she had been discussing the case and watching news reports. Posted on 12/04 at 11:15 PM. 

Four injured in Mashpee head on
MASHPEE - Four people were injured in this head-on crash between a Saturn sedan and a SUV in Mashpee about 2:40 PM.

The crash happened at the intersection of Red Brook Road and Monimoscoy Road. None of the injuries appear life-threatening.

The crash is under investigation by Mashpee Police.

Icy roads maybe to blame for Route 6 crash

WEST BARNSTABLE - The forecast was right on the mark. Rain ended as a brief period of snow. The first snow of the season on the Mid and Upper Cape. CWN contributor Ryan Somerfield was behind this vehicle when the driver of this Toyota Camry apparently lost control and crashed into the woods eastbound on Route 6 between exits 4 and 5 near the Sandwich/Barnstable town line. He and an off duty Dennis firefighter also passing the scene assisted the driver until rescuers could arrive. The victim now identified as 19-year old Jason McConnaughey of Plymouth was taken to Cape Cod Hospital and later transferred to a Boston Hospital with serious injuries. State Police are investigating. Several other minor crashes were reported during the morning along the highway in the upper Cape area. Posted on 12/04 at 11:30 AM; updated on 12/05 at 6:30 AM.
