Bourne firefighters called to Plymouth
PLYMOUTH - Firefighters from Bourne were called to cover a Plymouth fire station as crews battled a two-alarm fire in that town. Flames were pouring out of 122 Drew Road when firefighters arrived sometime around 7 PM Monday night. They made a dramatic rescue of a man trapped on the third floor who reportedly rebuffed their attempts to rescue him. He was pulled out critically injured and rushed to Jordan Hospital before being Medflighted to a Boston hospital. Four firefighters were injured in the rescue but are expected to be okay. The large 3 story 5 bedroom house was located in a remote area down a long driveway meaning crews had to lay long hoselines and shuttle water in by tanker.
