Eastham school bus crash; Jewelry store window smashed; Hyannis break-in; Small fire at Mashpee High; Two arrested on 14 charges in Bourne; Cell caller helps nab alleged drunk driver

School bus, car collide in Eastham
EASTHAM - A school bus and a car collided on Nauset Road near Schoolhouse Road shortly before 7:30 this morning. The good news is no one was injured. Eastham Police are investigating the crash and say a car pulled out in front of the small handicap bud which was carrying only the driver and a monitor. Jewelry store window smashed
HYANNIS - Police responding to an alarm discovered a window smashed at Guertin Brothers Jewelry on Main Street shortly before midnight Wednesday in what might hav ebeena n attempted smash and grab.

However, reports are the suspect may have been scared off because it appears nothing was taken. Barnstable Police are investigating the incident and we'll bring you further details as they are released.

Break-in reported at Hyannis eatery
- Barnstable Police are investigating a reported break-in at the Grille 16 on Main Street Wednesday. Its not immediately clear what if anything was taken or if any suspects have been identified.

Small fire reported at Mashpee High School
- A small fire was quickly extinguished at Mashpee High School Wednesday afternoon. WQRC News reported the fire started in a paper towel dispenser in the boys locker room. Officials are trying to determine if it was intentionally set. There was a similar fire at the school last year. Posted on 12/20 at 7:00 PM. 

Two arrested on 14 charges in Bourne
- Two men were arrested on 14 charges in Bourne Wednesday morning. The Times reports police raided a home on Round House Road. Police did not identify the two men or the charges but did say one was charged in connection with an assault on a Falmouth Police officer on December 2nd. Posted on 12/20 at 7:00 PM.

Cell caller helps nab alleged drunk driver
- A cell caller alerted state police to an alleged drunk driver Tuesday night. The caller told police a vehicle struck a guard rail westbound by exit 6. Trooper Matt Covino spotted a vehicle fitting the description given a Land Rover by exit 4. 31-year old Marcelle Tyldesley was arrested for OUI, operating to endanger and failing to stay in marked lanes. She was due to be arraigned Wednesday in court. Posted on 12/20 at 7:00 PM.
