Emergency landing in Hyannis; Orleans pedestrian passes away

Update: A Pedestrian struck in Orleans Thursday has died at the hospital (click for details).

Outside fire scorches Harwich home
HARWICH
- A fire outside a Harwich home scorched the exterior before being doused. Firefighters were called to 5 Santos Lane around about 12:15 PM. The cause of the fire was not immediately known. No injuries were reported. Further details were not immediately available.

Plane makes emergency landing at Hyannis airport
HYANNIS
- A small plane made an emergency landing at Barnstable Municipal Airport. Two people were on board the aircraft that radioed it was having engine trouble. The plane touched down safely with firefighters standing by about 11 AM. No one was injured. 

Yarmouth fire station construction marks milestone
YARMOUTH
 - Construction on the new Yarmouth Fire Department station #3 recently marked a major milestone. 

On Friday workers used a large crane to hoist the station's cupola into place on the West Yarmouth facility.
