FALMOUTH - Recent Falmouth graduate, David McTiernan is once again organizing an attempt to break the Guinness Book of World Records record for the "Most People Dribbling Basketballs at One Time."  McTiernan organized a similar event back in March of 2005.  Although they did not break the record, the Falmouth community came together for a fun time and a good cause, raising funds for the Falmouth Service Center.

This August, McTiernan hopes to finally break the record in Falmouth.  The attempt will be held on Thursday, August 16, 2007 at the Gus Canty Recreation Center in Falmouth.

Registration begins at 3:30pm, and the attempt should begin around 5 pm.

All participants who make a donation to the Falmouth Service Center will receive a free basketball in order to participate in the record, which currently stands at 1,111 dribblers.  Pre-registration sign-up forms are available at here.

The Falmouth Service Center is the town's food pantry.  Open since 1983, the center helps Falmouth neighbors in need.  Read more about the center here.
