Falmouth drowning, Target Ship Scuba diver dies; West Barnstable crash leaves man critical

Man drowns in Falmouth
FALMOUTH
- Jose Colon, 33, of Springfield drowned while trying to make it back to shore at Grews Pond in Goodwill Park, said Captain James Marshall of the Falmouth Fire Department. A Falmouth Department of Natural Resources worker was able to pull the man from the Colon water around 6:30 PM Saturday but attempts to revive him were unsuccessful. 

Scuba diver dies in Bay incident 
Earlier in the day, a scuba diver exploring a shipwreck in Cape Cod Bay went into cardiac arrest shortly after surfacing in Sesuit Harbor in East Dennis said Captain Robert Brown of the Dennis Fire Department.

The man, whom officials declined to identify, had gone out early on a boat from the Dive Locker, a scuba company in Hyannis, to explore the  USS Longstreet target ship, an underwater wreck between Wellfleet and Orleans in the bay.

West Barnstable crash leaves man critical
WEST BARNSTABLE
- A single vehicle crash in West Barnstable left a man critically injured. The crash happened just before 9 PM on Crocker Road when the vehicle struck a tree. The victim was rushed to Cape Cod Hospital after a Medflight was grounded by fog. The crash is under investigation by Barnstable Police.
