SOUTH DENNIS  - Dennis firefighters received a call at 4:57 p.m. Saturday for what could have been a serious situation - a child hit by a car on Route 134 at the Patriot Square shopping plaza intersection.

As it turned out, it was actually the front wheel of the child's bike that hit the side of the car- a "T-bone" collision -- and there were no injuries.
