Firefighters responded to an automatic alarm and received the smoke report by telephone while on the way. They laddered the structure which also houses a Subway sandwich shop, Dunkin' Donuts and Mobil Mart and discovered a motor for the BK's ventilation system fan had burnt out. The unit was shut off so it could be replaced. Firefighters ventilated the building and patrons were allowed to return. No one was injured.
