State sponsors of terror

Dear Editor,

I hope the citizens of Cape Cod take a couple of minutes each week and read the recent votes of our State Legislators.  I continue to be amazed at the party line votes of the Democratic Legislators who seem to be in lock step with the Speaker and Senate President.

A recent example which greatly disappointed me was a vote regarding the continuation of investing state public pension money in Iran, Syria, North Korea and Cuba.  Each and every Democratic member of the House of Representatives from Cape Cod voted not to stop investing in these countries.  Why would they want the pension dollars going to these nations?  I am also disappointed that this newspaper does not call on these folks and make them accountable for such a vote.

I do want to thank two Republican Representatives Jeff Perry and Susan Gifford for attempting to stop our pension dollars going to these countries, which are without question committing various human rights violations.
