Four uninjured after pickup truck rolls over

    
A pickup truck with four occupants apparently skidded on wet roads and wound up rolled over in Falmouth.
FALMOUTH
- A teen driver and three friends somehow escaped injury after their pickup truck rolled over and ended up precariously perched. The Toyota Tundra pickup truck apparently skidded on rain-slick Worcester Court, left the road and overturned onto its roof on top of a stonewall and against a tree around 9:40 p.m Friday. The 18-year-old male driver and three minor passengers were assisted from the vehicle by Falmouth Fire/Rescue. All the occupants appeared uninjured and declined medical assistance or transport to the hospital. The crash is under investigation by Falmouth Police. (Story and photo by Eric Tinglof).

One treated for smoke inhalation after Cotuit fire
COTUIT
- One person was treated for smoke inhalation after a fire in Cotuit. Firefighters responded to 981 Santuit-Newtown Road about 5:30 p.m. Friday to find a cooking incident. Damage was confined to a stove. Further details were not immediately available-R. Copley.

SUV vs. utility pole in Falmouth

An SUV struck a utility pole on Route 151 in Falmouth.

- Around 9:30 a.m. on Friday an SUV struck a utility pole on Route 151 (Nathan Ellis Highway) directly opposite Branch Road in Falmouth.  The GMC Envoy was  driven by a 19 year-old male, the sole occupant.

The driver was transported to Falmouth Hospital by Falmouth Fire/Rescue.  He was conscious and alert with apparent head injury.

Per the Falmouth Police Department, a second vehicle although not directly involved, was struck by parts of the fallen pole while passing by. The second vehicle was able to drive away from the scene with minor damage but without injuries.

The accident is under investigation by the Falmouth Police Department.

Rollover causes traffic backup on Route 25 approaching Cape
BOURNE
– Around 1:20 p.m. Friday, a truck carrying new vehicles attempted to merge onto Route 25 South, causing the truck to roll over. The rollover caused traffic to backup on Route 25 toward the Cape.
Eduardo Pereira, 45, from Shrewsbury, MA was cited for speeding.
No injuries were reported. Further details were not immediately available.
