- Barnstable Police are looking for a suspect in an armed robbery at a Christy's Market in Hyannis Saturday. About 7 p.m. a man brandishing a knife demanded money and made off with an undetermined amount of cash. The clerk was shaken up but not injured. The suspect is described as a black male, mid 20s wearing a brown jacket and knit cap. Anyone with information is asked to contact Det. Joseph Cairns at (508) 778-3839.

falmouth111707b_300FALMOUTH - A single-vehicle crash occurred at 1:30 p.m. on Boxberry Hill Road, just off Route 151 in Falmouth. A Toyota Corolla sedan struck a tree head-on just after turning onto Boxberry Hill Road from Route 151.

The single adult male driver/occupant suffered apparent head injuries and was removed from the vehicle and transported to Falmouth Hospital by Falmouth Fire/Rescue.

The crash is under investigation by the Falmouth Police Department who could be seen removing several items from the vehicle at the scene. (Story and photos by Eric Tinglof/CWN).
