Update: More mystery in bench saga...

These two deer benches mysteriously appeared early Monday morning on the front lawn of  Dennis FD HQ.
WEST DENNIS – Dennis fire officials reported Monday that two "deer benches" mysteriously appeared on the front lawn of headquarters sometime during the early morning hours. This event and the birth of over 50 "baby benches" and the rapid insertion of Santa Claus last week have department members wondering "what's next?".

The origin of the deer benches is unknown but authorities say that the cryptic letters “Y-F-D” on the side of one of the deer indicate that they might have come either from the Yankton, South Dakota or Ypsilanti, Michigan fire departments. Officials are unaware of any connection to either city and remain stumped by the source of these finely crafted examples of primitive folk art.
