 Domestic dispute ends with Christmas tree on front lawn, presents taken
OSTERVILLE
- A woman was arrested Saturday following an overnight domestic disturbance on Old Mill Road in Osterville. According to police 29-year-old Elyssa Underwood(on right) was drunk when she arrived at her ex-boyfriend's residence-reportedly with her new boyfriend in tow. She allegedly assaulted her ex by trying to choke him and hit him with a metal shower shelf. She then is accused of taking the Christmas tree and throwing it out onto the front lawn and had reportedly taken Christmas presents. The couple's three children were at the home and were said to be crying when authorities arrived. Underwood left with the new boyfriend but contacted police Saturday morning to turn herself in. She faces charges of assault and battery, assault and battery with a dangerous weapon (shower shelf) and wanton destruction of property. (Mugshot furnished by BPD).

CAPE COD
- Strong winds and downpours led to some street flooding on the Cape. Scattered power outages were reported in Eastham and Wellfleet amongst others. In Provincetown winds gusting to 59 MPH caused a line tethering a fishing vessel to the pier at MacMillan Wharf to part.

Unarmed robbery reported at mall
HYANNIS
- Barnstable Police are investigating an incident at the Cape Cod Mall about 9 p.m. Sunday that may have been an attempted robbery. Details are sketchy but a disturbance reportedly broke out in the food court and spilled out into the parking lot. Barnstable officers supplementing mall security for the holiday shopping rush responded quickly and several suspects were detained. Further details were not immediately available.

Man seriously injured in Eastham crash
EASTHAM
- A man was injured in a single-vehicle crash in Eastham Sunday. The driver 37-year old Peter Bross of Plymouth apparently lost control on Cable Road at Ocean View Drive near Nauset Light Beach and struck a fence and some trees. He was taken by ambulance to CCH. The crash is under investigation by Eastham Police and National Park Rangers.
