Multi-vehicle crash closes "suicide alley" section of Route 6

HARWICH - A multi-vehicle crash westbound on Route 6 near exit 10 closed down the road Thursday afternoon.
The chain reaction crash happened shortly before 3 p.m. and five injuries were reported.
A Mass Casualty Incident (MCI) declaration brought ambulances from Harwich, Brewster and Dennis to the scene.
Traffic was heavily backed up until the scene could be cleared.

Bridge crash slows traffic
- A two-vehicle crash at the base of the Bourne Bridge caused delays for a time Thursday afternoon. No one was seriously injured after the 3:45 p.m. crash. State Police are investigating if black ice suddenly formed triggering the crash.
Oceanside Septic truck on Millstone in Brewster flips and hits Hyundai brewster_septic_rollover_17081_600

- At 12 p.m. Thursday an Oceanside Septic truck turning north onto Millstone Road from Route 137 (towards Route 6A) rolled over side-swiping  a Hyundai sedan. 
The truck was carrying 1,500 gallons of raw sewage, luckily there was no spillage on the roadway.

Millstone Road was closed for approximately two hours while the product was transfered to another Oceanside truck. No injuries were reported.

False alarm at Cape Cod Coffee
MASHPEE - At 1:47 p.m., Mashpee Fire and Rescue responded to an automatic fire alarm at the Cape Cod Coffee at 348 Main Street. Firefighters then executed a full "search and scan" inside the building and outside. The source was not discovered and the call was terminated at 2:16 p.m. No injuries were reported. One injured in Marstons Mills crash
- One person was taken to Cape Cod Hospital after two work trucks collided on Osterville/West Barnstable Road near Race Lane about 7 a.m. traffic was slowed during the morning commute. Barnstable Police are investigating. Story by Frank Paparo.
Box truck rolls in Buzzards Bay
- A box truck rolled over at the "West Rotary" in Buzzards Bay Thursday morning. Three people in the truck were not hurt but the collision caused delays for the morning commute.
