Two fires hit same house in Harwich, electrical problem likely cause

    Harwich firefighters had to douse two separate fires at this house on Belmont Road Sunday.
HARWICH - An electrical problem apparently sparked two separate fires in a Harwich house shortly before noon Sunday. The first fire in a wall of the home at 171 Belmont Road (right) around 11:45 a.m. was quickly knocked down. Firefighters still on scene around 2:30 p.m. discovered another fire in a different wall which was also quickly knocked down. No injuries were reported in either fire. NStar had reportedly cut power to the home after the first fire and authorities are continuing to investigate.

Driver escapes injury in Route 6 rollover
- A driver was able to walk away from a rollover crash on Route 6 in West Barnstable around 11:15 p.m. Sunday. The crash happened at the Exit 6 eastbound off-ramp.
