Special Program: Your pet in an emergency

A Special Program hosted by the Eastham Dog Owners' Association

When disaster hits, are you and your pets prepared?

On Tuesday, April 14, 2009 at 6pm, the Eastham Dog Owners' Association will host the Cape Cod Disaster Animal Response Team (Cape Cod DART) at Nauset Regional High School.

Cape Cod DART will present a special program entitled Your Pet in an Emergency.  The Cape Cod DART develops preparedness and prevention response and recovery programs for team members, volunteers, and the public.

Find out how YOU can be a volunteer and be part of the solution.  The Barnstable County Regional Emergency Committee is a sponsor of Cape Cod DART.

The association will also welcome Charlene Poliquin, Certified Red Cross Pet First Aid Instructor.  Emergencies can occur suddenly and without warning. Knowing what to do in the initial moments can be critical to your pet's life.  Learn hands on training in pet first aid procedures.

The event is free and open to the public.

Nauset Regional High School is located at 100 Cable Road in North Eastham.
