BOURNE- One person is dead and another critically injured in two multiple stabbing incidents in Bourne Sunday night (07-19-09) and early Monday morning (07-20-09).

In the first incident, a male was stabbed multiple times at the Shell Gas Station on Canal Street in Bourne at the base of the Sagamore Bridge. The stabbing occurred at approximately 10:30 p.m. Sunday evening (07-19-09).

A MedFlight helicopter was requested for the victim. However, due to the severity of the victim's injuries, the helicopter was canceled. The victim, Daniel E. Cardoza, later died at Jordan Hospital in Plymouth.

Approximately 2 hours later, at 12:30 a.m. Sunday morning, police responded to reports to a large fight taking place at the Hoxie School parking lot in the Sagamore Beach section of Bourne.

When police arrived, they found the alleged assailant, Caleeb Greeson, of the first stabbing victim with multiple stab wounds. He was transported from the Hoxie School by MedFlight helicopter with reported life-threatening injuries.

Bourne and State Police, as well as members of the Barnstable Sheriff's Department K-9 unit, were searching for the second stabbing assailant early Monday morning. Five other arrests were made as a result of the incident.
