Yarmouth Police arrest drug grower

Plants, LSD and pot seized

WEST YARMOUTH - On Wednesday, July 22, 2009 at 12:47 p.m., Yarmouth Police Patrol Investigator Christopher A. Kent and Detective Eric H. Nuss went to 6 Echo Road in West Yarmouth to investigate a report of Marijuana plants growing in the yard.

Upon arrival at the residence, the police observed Marijuana plants growing adjacent to a shed.

Drugs located and seized from the residence were:

  • 8  five foot tall Marijuana plants
  • 10 hits of LSD
  • 1  3.5 gram bag of Marijuana

Yarmouth Police identified the resident of the home, Seth C. Ranney (right), 32, and subsequently placed him under arrest and transported him to Yarmouth Police Headquarters.  Ranney was charged with Felony Cultivation of Class D Marijuana and Possession of Class B Lysergic Acid.  He was scheduled for arraignment in the Barnstable District Court Thursday morning.
