Suspect sought in Station Ave. bank robbery Monday in Yarmouth

Compensation provided for information leading to arrest


   The above bank security footage shows the front and back of the suspect wanted for the December 14, 2009 robbery of the Rockland Trust Bank on Station Ave.

YARMOUTH - On Monday, December 14, 2009 at 11:05 a.m. members of the Yarmouth Police Department responded to a report of a robbery at the Rockland Trust Bank at 428 Station Avenue in South Yarmouth.

The bank manager reported that the suspect had entered the bank and gave a note to the teller demanding money.  The suspect received an amount of money and then left.

Yarmouth Police Patrol Officers and Detectives responded to the scene and were unable to locate the suspect.

The suspect is described as a stocky, white male with brown hair and facial hair.  he was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt with a distinctive "tribal style" printed pattern on the front and back, dark pants, dark sunglasses and white sneakers.

The investigation is continuing.  Compensation will be provided for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons involved in this felony crime.
