Fatal rollover accident in Wareham on Route 195

WAREHAM - One person was killed in a single-vehicle rollover accident on Route 195 eastbound in Wareham Saturday afternoon, April 24, 2010, according to a State Police Trooper at the scene.

Massachusetts State Police say 64-year-old Burtis Parcels of Centerville died when his 2003 Toyota Tundra, veered off the right shoulder and then re-entered the roadway, striking the right hand side guardrail.

Troopers say Parcels was trapped inside the vehicle, and pronounced dead on scene by EMS personnel. Parcels was wearing his seatbelt at the time of the accident.

State Police spent over two hours reconstructing the scene.  During the reconstruction, traffic was reduced to one lane.

There were no other reported injuries.
