Fallen tree limb knocks out power to Grant Street section of Plymouth

PLYMOUTH - Friday afternoon, October 1, 2010, a large maple tree limb fell across Grant Street in Plymouth knocking out power and stopping traffic. Nstar work crews used a chain saw and bucket truck to remove the limb from the roadway.

The large tree limb struck primary power lines knocking out power in the area for several hours.  Grant Street was completely blocked in both directions while crews worked to remove the large tree limb.

The Plymouth Fire Department responded to numerous calls of trees and transformers down as high winds buffeted the area.
