Route 28 sewer construction update
Beginning Monday, October 18, 2010, sewer construction will shift to the area of Route 28 near Ridgevale Road and continue to work to the east along Route 28. The designated detour route will then be Route 137 to Middle Road to Sam Ryder Road just as it was this past spring. This detour is expected to be in place until early November.
Additionally, the sewer construction crew working in the West Chatham area will be starting at the intersection of George Ryder Road and Route 28 and working to the west along Route 28 beginning Monday, October 25, 2010. One lane of alternating traffic will be maintained in this area.
We would also like to remind the public that Barn Hill Road south of Meadow View Road will be closed from October 22, 2100 to November 1, 2010 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. due to some very deep excavation work in that area.
We encourage you to visit the sewer construction project website for updated schedule information and the Town’s website for additional information regarding this and other important projects and events in Chatham.
