$6.96 million federal contract awarded to West Yarmouth building firm

Local company wins contract under ARRA

Williams Building Company, Inc., of West Yarmouth, has won a $6,960,177 federal contract from the U.S. Customs and Border Protection, for the design and construction of the Los Ebanos Land Port of Entry under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act.

In April of 2009, the CBP announced plans to modernize several land ports of entry with ARRA funds.  The Los Ebanos Land Port of Entry is located in Rio Grande City, Texas. 

The ARRA funds will be used to modernize a total of 43 ports of entry, some of which were built prior to World War II.

Williams Building Company, Inc. is owned by Tim Williams of Barnstable. The company provides construction management, pre-construction, design and general contracting services.
