Falmouth Chamber announces Christmas Parade winners

The Falmouth Chamber of Commerce Holidays-By-The-Sea Committee announced the winners of the 47th Annual Falmouth Christmas Parade that took place on Sunday, December 5th on a seasonally cool, partly sunny day. 

Parade floats and walking units enthusiastically and creatively embraced the theme, A Seafaring Holiday, and the results were close. The winners are:

CHILDREN’S FLOAT
1st Place: Tumble Time Gymnastics
Runner-up:  Falmouth Pop Warner Hurricanes

CHILDREN’S WALKING UNIT
1st Place: Falmouth Dance Academy
Runner-up: New England Ballet Theatre

ADULT WALKING UNIT
1st Place: People for Cats
Runner-up:  Nurturing Nest Inn for Respite Care

Congratulations to all the winners and thank you to everyone who participated in this beloved parade.

Parade winners may stop by the Chamber office, located at 20 Academy Lane in Falmouth, Monday through Friday 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. to pick up their trophies. The Committee will meet in January to pick a theme for the 2011 parade. Mark your calendars; the 48th annual Christmas Parade will take place on Sunday, December 4, 2011.
