Brewster Ladies' Library names new director

Native of Brockton to join the staff in Brewster

The Brewster Ladies’ Library Association is delighted to announce the selection of Kathleen Cockcroft as its new director after a national search. As part of the interviewing process, Kathy Cockcroft met with the Board of Directors of the Association and the library staff. She impressed both groups with her deep appreciation for public libraries, her grasp of the issues they face, her communication skills and commitment to building a strong team environment in the library.

Ms. Cockcroft, a native of Brockton, Massachusetts, returns to New England from Rowlett, Texas, where she is currently the director of the Rowlett Public Library.  Kathy expects to begin work in Brewster on January 3, 2011, and the Brewster Ladies’ Library anticipates that she will be a strong asset to the organization and to Brewster.

The Brewster Ladies' Library is located at 1822 Main Street (Route 6A) in Brewster, 508-896-3913.
