Cape Cod Foundation Board elects new officers

Foundation's first woman chair elected

The Cape Cod Foundation Board elected two new officers and a new director at its December 16, 2010 meeting. Jennifer S.D. Roberts, former vice chairman, was elected board chair. Board member Tom Evans assumed the office of vice chairman. Chris Wise of Chatham joined the board as a new director.

Roberts is an attorney with the firm of LaTanzi, Spaulding & Landreth, P.C. in Orleans and a Sandwich resident. She previously served on the Foundation’s Board of Directors from 1999 to 2006. Roberts is the Foundation’s first woman chairman.

Vice Chairman Evans served as headmaster for Cape Cod Academy for 26 years before retiring in 2006. He currently provides consulting services nationally in leadership and governance to independent schools. Evans also has served as a trustee of Cape Cod Five Cents Savings Bank, vice chair of the Harwich Conservation Trust, and past president of the Dartmouth Club of Cape Cod.

Wise, founder and CEO of Wise Living in Chatham, has served as a board member of several local nonprofit organizations, including the American Red Cross Cape Cod and Islands Chapter. He also has served on the Historic Business District Commission of Chatham.
