Oil truck rolls over in Mattapoisett Tuesday

MATTAPOISETT - Mattapoisett firefighters and the Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection (MassDEP) responded to an oil truck rollover on Mattapoisett Neck Road Tuesday morning, January 18, 2011 around 8:30 a.m. 

It is unknown if the driver of the oil truck was injured. 

According to a MassDEP official at the scene, the oil truck was carrying approximately 2,500 gallons of home heating oil.  There was only a minor fuel spill of approximately 20 gallons. 

Roads throughout southeastern Massachusetts were very slick Tuesday morning as a combination of ice and rain fell on the area.  There were numerous accidents reported in the area, including Wareham and Plymouth.
