Arc of Cape Cod to participate in first-ever All Aboard the Arc! event in April

Buses set to roll for major fundraiser to benefit people with disabilities

The Arc of Cape Cod is a proud participant in the first-ever All Aboard The Arc! event, scheduled to take place Sunday, April 10, 2011 when a caravan of buses with hundreds of supporters from across the state will head to downtown Worcester for a celebration of The Arc's mission of advocacy and services for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD).

This pledge-driven fundraising event, an adaptation of the walkathon concept, aims to draw the participation of more than 1,000 bus riders and is intended to raise $1 million to support a full range of programs vital to the well-being of 180,000 men, women and children living with I/DD in Massachusetts.

The Arc of Cape Cod is part of a national grassroots network operating in 19 communities within Massachusetts alone and has served people locally with developmental disabilities for 56 years.

The Arc of Cape Cod provides an individualized safety net for adults living independently in their home communities throughout their lives. Become a part of our first-ever All Aboard The Arc! event and support adults with disabilities living on Cape Cod!
