Blood drive in Centerville Friday in honor of Charlotte Kelly

Donated blood to benefit Children's Hospital and the Jimmy Fund
Charlotte at the beach.

There will be a blood drive in honor of Charlotte Kelly on Friday, March 18th from 12 – 6 PM.  The drive will be held at Our Lady of the Victory Church in Centerville, located at 230 South Main Street.

Charlotte Kelly is a 4-year-old little girl diagnosed with stage IV Metastasized Neuroblstoma.   After 6 months of chemotherapy, two Stem Cell Transplants, Radiation and Anti-Body Therapy, unfortunately Charlotte suffered a relapse.  The good news is, Charlotte continues to fight.  The new tumor has responded to chemotherapy and because of that, she will hopefully be eligible for a clinical trial.

The donated blood will benefit Children’s Hospital and the Jimmy Fund.  Chemotherapy pauses the blood creation process, so it is not uncommon for children to require daily transfusions.  Due to the harsh winter weather, the blood banks are dangerously low.

Please consider donating blood and bringing a friend,  this is a wonderful way to make a difference within your own community.  You are truly giving the gift of life.  We welcome your support and graciously thank you for any difference you can make.  To make an appointment please call Tracey McKeen at 508-778-6662 or email [email protected].  For directions please call 508-778-6662.
