Health center receives grant for expanding dental services for the underserved

Community Health Center of Cape Cod recently received a $5,000 grant from TD Charitable Foundation to support the expansion of its dental clinic and services for the underserved. The Health Center will be expanding its current facility in Mashpee with a groundbreaking late this summer. The dental clinic will increase from three to ten chairs. Currently the Health Center cares for 12,000 patients, 3,660 of which are both dental and primary care patients. In 2010 over 8,500 dental visits were provided, which was up almost 20% from the previous year.
