ARRAIGNMENTS

OICLES, Steven R, 26, 23 Purchase St. Apt B, Carver, with another man, FOSTER, Kyle P, 22, 8 Braintree Ave., Kingston; arraigned on multiple drug charges after their arrests on May 3. Oicles is charged with possession with intent to distribute Class A substance (heroin) subsequent offense, possession of a Class A substance, possession of a Class C substance (Xanax), possession of more than an ounce of marijuana, and trafficking in heroin. Foster is charged with distribution of a Class A substance (heroin), possession of a Class A substance, possession of a Class C substance (Xanax), possession of more than an ounce of marijuana, and trafficking in heroin. According to the police report, Carver police were dispatched to the parking lot of the CVS on North Main St. in response to a report of a suspicious motor vehicle. After a threshold inquiry, police apparently had reason to conduct a search of the individuals and the vehicle. In the initial search, police found drugs and drug paraphernalia consistent with narcotic use. Additionally, police discovered a safe in the back seat of the vehicle. After applying for and obtaining a search warrant for the safe, police found 250 individually wrapped packages of what is alleged to be heroin, the total weight of which was determined to be 78.9 grams, many times the weight required to sustain a “trafficking” charge. Also allegedly found in the safe was an unmarked prescription bottle containing 50 Xanax tablets, a zip lock bag containing marijuana and $2,100 in cash. At the time of the arrest, Oicles had been out on bail on similar charges. On March 25, he was arraigned on charges including possession of Class A substance (heroin), possession with intent to distribute Class A substance, possession of Class B substance, and possession with intent to distribute Class B substance. Wednesday, bail was set at $10,000 cash for Oicles and $2,500 cash for Foster.  Their cases were continued to June 6 for probable cause hearing.

MEDEIROS, Brandon, 24, 64 Contereal Ave., E. Falmouth, with DOONAN, Noelle, also 24, of 839 Bourne Rd., Plymouth; arraigned on charges of intimidating a witness in Wareham on May 3.

GALLOWAY, Darren, 28, 64 Fearing Hill Rd., W. Wareham; possession with intent to distribute Class B substance (cocaine), open container in motor vehicle, possession with intent to distribute Class D substance (marijuana), unregistered motor vehicle, and speeding  in Wareham on May 3. According to the police report, Wareham police pulled over Galloway for speeding on Cranberry Highway.  When the officer approached the vehicle he allegedly observed, in plain view, an open 40 oz bottle of beer, establishing probable cause to investigate further. A search of Galloway’s pockets allegedly revealed 11 individually wrapped packages of a white powdery substance consistent with cocaine, as well as individually wrapped packages of what appeared to be marijuana. An inventory search of the vehicle, pursuant to Galloway’s arrest, revealed a large sword hidden under a jacket and a digital scale. Galloway was released on his own recognizance to await a June 3 pretrial hearing.
