A Blood-Red Letter Day

You will write a check for $200 million more to repair the Big Dig

By Christy Mihos

Today marks the Five Year passing of an innocent young woman who was killed in the Big Dig Tunnel by over 12,000 pounds of concrete and re-bar that was not property installed.

It was glued into place and with millions of gallons of water leaking through the tunnel walls and ceilings, and over 5,500 truckloads of suspect cement allowed to enter the construction process its just a sorry tragedy every day.

Since July 11, 2006, eight more people have died in the tunnel due to construction problems.

It will not end, and your tax dollars will now pay to replace 25,000 suspect and corroding 110 pound lights in the tunnels - $200,000,000.

That's right TWO HUNDRED MILLION DOLLARS. $15,000,000 is paid annually to pump out the ground and sea water entering the tunnels.

You, the taxpayer purchased a water tight tunnel system. No one is talking about what happened five short years ago. It will happen again, and the eight other innocent people who have died are a testament to the future.
