HEALY, Joseph M, 17, 1174 Old Post Rd, Cotuit; Class B drug possession with intent to distribute, cocaine; drug violation near a school or park; conspiracy to violate drug laws, July 8 in Barnstable.  Pretrial conference scheduled for August 4.  According to police reports, an officer and a state trooper assigned to the Barnstable Street Crimes Unit saw a black Chevy Monte Carlo turn off Bearse's Way and pull into the Horace Mann Charter School, without signaling.  Officers asserted they detected the smell of raw (unburned) marijuana in the car.  Its occupants stated they were at the school to go skateboarding.  Two passengers, asked "how much" marijuana they had in the car, answered in the affirmative.  All were searched as was the car.  Police found cocaine in the center console along with a digital scale, and small plastic bags used in the retail sale of illegal drugs.

BROWN, Winslowe, 33, 2815 State Hwy, Eastham; indecent assault & battery on a person 14 or over, June 13 in Orleans.  Pretrial conference scheduled for July 26.

FERREIRA, John C, 44, 435 Setucket Rd, S. Dennis; dumping more than seven cubic feet of trash from a motor vehicle, April 23 in Dennis.  Held.  Motion to dismiss, August 3.  According to police reports, a resident noted a large pile of pine brush in his neighbor's driveway.  The trash was dumped there sometime between 0830 and 1348 hours April 23.  Officers matched the brush by the rings on the cut logs to brush legally cut down at another location by JC Tree Service earlier that day.  That company's equipment tires matched the prints left at the illegal dump site.  The owner of JC Tree, Ferreira was charged.

Placed on probation until July 10 2012.  Waller was spotted by an associate at Kappy'swho observed her place two bottles of alcohol in her purse. When she approachedthe cashier, Waller had placed four nips on the counter. When asked by thecashier to see her purse, she began to take out a bottle of Crystal Vodka,valued at $79.99. The cashier held onto the purse, and Waller fled the storeinto a motor vehicle. After Waller fled the store, the cashier looked insidethe purse again, and found a second bottle of alcohol, Tezan Tequila, valued at$ 59.99, as well as a pair of wire cutters, known to be used to remove securitytags.

ARRAIGNMENTS

WESTGATE, Derek, 19,9 Birch St., Wareham; from an arrest on July 12 by Wareham police, Westgate wasarraigned on charges of breaking and entering in a building, nighttime forfelony, and receiving stolen property in excess of $250. Bail was set at $2500cash for Westgate's appearance on July 20 for pre-trial conference. Accordingto the police report, Westgate allegedly entered a home that was underconstruction and removed 18-20 pieces of copper pipe as well as miscellaneouscopper fittings. A police investigation that included queries sent to localscrap metal dealers resulted in the apprehension of Westgate. Earlier in theyear, Westgate was released on his own recognizance on charges that included 9counts of receiving stolen property, 2 counts of breaking and entering,nighttime for felony and conspiracy. Those charges are still pending.

CHAVES, Andrew M., 23,170 Suffolk St., New Bedford; from an arrest in connection with a domesticdispute by Wareham police at a Shangra La Blvd. address, Chaves was released onhis own recognizance at his arraignment today on charges of assault andbattery, receiving stolen property over $250 and malicious damage to a motorvehicle. According to the police report, the victim alleged Chaves punched herin the face several times. The charge of receiving stolen property stemmed fromitems seized from a gym bag, given to police by the victim, allegedly belongingto Chaves that contained a Playstation and gold watch that police allege were stolen.

WALKER, Jeremy T, 25,28 Cushing Lane, Acushnet; from a complaint issued June 7, Walker was arraignedon charges of conspiracy and accessory after the fact in connection with thetheft of two trailers from R.F. Morse Company on Cranberry Highway inWareham.  Walker was released on his ownrecognizance to appear on July 29 for pretrial conference.

DISPOSITIONS

BAILEY, Derek J,26, 919 Long Pond Road, Plymouth; from a complaint issued February 4, Baileyadmitted to sufficient facts to charges of receiving stolen property less that$250 and larceny by false pretense, less than $250 in connection with therecovery of 2 stolen GPS devices from Gateway Gold and Pawn Shop located at 298Main St. in Wareham. The case was continued without a finding with probation toJanuary 11, 2012.

RITUCCI,Mark D,47, 200 E. Main St., Middleboro; from an arrest on July 6, Ritucci admitted tosufficient facts to a charge of OUI. The case was continued without a findingwith probation to July 11, 2012. Ritucci was ordered to pay $600 in fees andassessments, and forfeit his license for 45 days.
