Air conditioner failure at Jordan Hospital in Plymouth Thursday

Heat wave taking toll on operating room nurse

Surgeries delayed, patients transferred

Operating room nurses (above) tried to cool off outside of the Jordan Hospital emergency room in Plymouth Thursday morning after the air conditioning system reportedly failed at the hospital.

According to one operating room employee at the scene, some scheduled surgeries had to be delayed due to the air conditioner failure. There are unconfirmed reports that a number of patients were transferred by ambulance out of Jordan Hospital. The reported air conditioner failure comes on a day when temperatures in Massachusetts are expected to soar.
