Well, folks, it'sthat time again! As you plan your weekend as we begin to approachthese last days of summer, here's hoping you enjoy some of thewonderful events happening in and around Cape Cod! I also caution youto do everything you can to enjoy the downtime you have as a familybefore these last dog days of summer are gone to enjoy beach days andtime just running around at your favorite local park!

If I could be manyplaces at once, here are some events I would love to get to. Hope youhave a fabulous weekend!

ForFriday August 12:

  • Farmer's Markets continue: Osterville Farmers' Market from 9:00 AM - 1:00 PM at the Osterville Historical Museum in Osterville and/or Provincetown Farmers' Market from 11:00 AM - 4:00 PM in Provincetown

  • Patient Update is an event worth being available for, and it is free at the National Marine Life Center at Buzzards Bay. 10am is the time the update begins!

  • Fridays for Families is happening at 10am at Falmouth Museums on the Green. Hands-on Historical discovery activities for students aged 7-11 and their parents.

  • Head out to Green Briar Nature Center with your family to enjoy Critter Capers from 10:30 AM - 11:00 AM Visit with a naturalist and one of the animals and learn about life cycles, habits and habitats. This program, which is offered every Friday morning, is suitable for children ages 3 and up with an adult. Green Briar Nature Center  is in East Sandwich)

  • The Cape Cod Museum of Natural History in Brewster has the Weekday Family Nature Programs scheduled for 1:00 PM.

  • Free Fun Friday 2011 offers free admission to everyone today at - JFK Presidential Library & Museum, Columbia Point, Boston - Arnold Arboretum, 125 Arborway-Jamaica Plain, -Tanglewood (BSO), 297 West Street, Lenox and - Stone Zoo, 149 Pond Street, Stoneham.
