Falmouth League of Women Voters to host "Smart Growth" meeting on September 15

Meeting open to League members and the public

On Thursday, September 15 at 7:30 p.m. the Falmouth League of Women Voters will host a meeting on the concept of “Smart Growth” with Town Planner Brian Currie as the guest speaker. The meeting will be held in the Civil Defense Room on the ground floor of Falmouth Town Hall and is open to both League members and the public.

Mr. Currie will discuss how the concept of Smart Growth could impact Falmouth. Smart Growth refers to strategies intended to enable communities to grow without distressing the environment. Mr. Currie will answer questions submitted to him in advance by the League as well as questions from the audience. The program will be of interest to environmentalists, housing advocates and members of the business community interested in economic growth and development.

The League of Women Voters is a non-partisan organization open to all citizens interested in public policy, good government and civic participation.
