2011 GOP Jobs Tour to visit Sandwich October 4

The Republican legislators representing the Upper Cape and Plymouth, Rep. Randy Hunt (R-Sandwich), Rep. Vinny deMacedo (R-Plymouth), Rep. Susan Williams Gifford (R-Wareham) and Rep. David Vieira (R-Falmouth), remind constituents that the 2011 GOP Jobs Tour will stop in Sandwich on Tuesday, October 4, 2011. The six-week Jobs Tour was announced earlier this month by the Massachusetts House Republican Caucus during a press conference at the State House.

Business owners and job seekers are invited to attend and share their ideas for improving the job climate in Massachusetts. "This forum will give business owners and job-seekers the opportunity to tell us what they need to help themselves and get our economy growing again," said Rep. Gifford.

The Sandwich stop will be on Tuesday, October 4, 2011 from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. on the second floor of the Sandwich Town Hall on Main Street. Business owners from the community and representatives from local and regional chambers of commerce have been invited to join the legislators during this forum.

Constituents who are not able to attend are encouraged to contact their state representatives and/or email their ideas and insights to [email protected].

Other towns on the tour include Gardner, where the tour kicked off on September 20th, Agawam, Bridgewater, Attleboro, Andover and Sutton.
