Barnstable's councilors instigated Klimm's departure

To The Editor:

I am writing in response to several articles, blogs, and op-ed pieces which have appeared in Cape Cod Today during the month of September concerning the unwarranted forced political ouster of Barnstable Town Manager, John Klimm.  More specifically, they are: "In the End, New England and Barnstable Patriots' Lose 'Bills' by a Klimm Margin!" authored by Joe Glynn on 09/26/2011, "John Klimm is eager to remain as Barnstable's Town Manager," by Janet Joakim on 09/10/2011, and "Klimm calls it quits," published on 09/07/2011. As plainly illustrated by the facts portrayed within the aforementioned Cape Cod Today pieces, there has been an utter lack of true transparency and fiscal responsibility on the part of certain members of the Barnstable Town Council, the same six councilors who have in recent months been attempting to rid the Town of the most competent and able administrator that it has had in decades, John Klimm.

As widely known, out of the six councilors who betrayed the people of Barnstable by instigating this grim debacle, one keeps his seat until 2013, one providentially loses his seat this year as a result of term limits, and four are up for re-election in November. I say throw these four fiscally irresponsible bombastic bums off of the Town Council, and elect some responsible and capable people who know what the hell they are doing, for a change!!!

Thank you.
