New World Tavern opens in Plymouth

“Discover a World of Beer” is about to take on new meaning for Massachusetts beer aficionados.  Settling into Plymouth Center, The New World Tavern has launched 32 taps and more than 100 bottled brews in their brand new restaurant and bar located at 56 Main Street.

The tavern’s owners have renovated the previously existing restaurant, offering  a modern tavern complete with custom bar, comfortable seating and a relaxed atmosphere right in the heart of Plymouth. Soon they will launch a back room complete with stage and a second bar designed for live entertainment, functions and beer-themed dinners.  Targeting a grand opening for early January, details of a welcome week packed with events and entertainment will soon be announced.

Offering the complete beer lover’s experience, knowledge about each selection is imparted through the expert  staff.  New World Tavern’s  eclectic selection features over 100 varieties of mainland and imported artisanal ales and craft beers from the world over.  Comprehensive seasonal events, tastings and local brand launches will round out a continuous entertainment schedule.  A full liquor bar complete with signature house cocktails and a modest but noteworthy wine list delights every cocktail palate.

Fulfilling the traditional tavern atmosphere, a contemporary gastro-pub menu using indigenous ingredients offers starters, small plates and beer pairings.   The current tavern menu will expand to a full dinner menu in a few weeks, offering small plates and full entrees at reasonable prices.

The New World Tavern  is open Monday through Friday from 3 p.m. to : midnight, Saturdays and Sundays from noon to midnight.  Dinner served every day and lunch on weekends.
