Film starts promptly at 5:30 p.m.
The Plymouth Rock/Cape Cod & Islands Tea Party Patriots have announced that they will show "Atlas Shrugged" at their next meeting on Thursday, December 8. The screening will begin promptly at 5:30 p.m. at the Bourne Veterans' Memorial Community Center at 239 Main Street in Bourne.
From the release:
Atlas Shrugged Part 1 is the movie adaptation of the first third of the novel by Ayn Rand. According to its official website, "its theme is the role of individual achievement in society and its goal is to demonstrate what can happen when individual achievement is undervalued, suppressed and demonized. Complex characters embody heroism and evil, in a plot that combines drama, mystery, romance, and science fiction - the result is ultimately inspirational, not apocalyptic".
RSVP to Alice Zinkevich here if you will be attending the meeting.
According to the organization's release, the group is dedicated to "protecting America’s future by promoting its core values of fiscal responsibility, constitutionally limited government, and free markets. The Tea Party is not a political party but a community organization for the purposes of education, political discussion, community betterment and social activities."
Meetings are non-partisan and all interested residents of Plymouth and Cape Cod are welcome to attend.
