SCHULTZ, Jason J, 26, 93 Cranview Rd, Brewster; assault & battery; assault & battery with a dangerous weapon, July 16 in Dennis.  Jury trial.  Assault & battery, guilty.  Two years house of correction, one hundred forty-five days credit; committed.  Assault & battery with a dangerous weapon, not guilty.

COSTA, Elise S, 21, 41 Deacons Folly Rd, Harwich; receiving stolen property under $250, October 18 in Dennis.  Pretrial conference scheduled for January 12 2012.  According to police reports, the Dennis police chief and a detective were visiting West Dennis Antiques, and noticed Costa attempting to pawn a gold sand dollar scarf pin.  Costa said it was her mother's.  Because Costa is a suspect in multiple breaking & enterings in the towns of Harwich and Dennis, police took custody of the item.  Ten days later, a local resident reported the theft of her jewelry in person at the Dennis Police Department.  She confirmed the sand dollar pin was hers.  Costa was arrested.

FOLEY, Marissa S, 23, 428 Rte 28, Apt 2-1, W. Dennis.  Pretrial conference scheduled for January 30 2012.


AIILUPOTEA, Sinatola, 20, 166 Upper County Rd, Apt 211, Dennisport; assault & battery with a dangerous weapon, August 15 in Dennis.  Admitted to sufficient facts.  Continued without a finding, probation until December 12 2012.

BRENEMAN, Willy E, 32, 25 Meetinghouse Rd, Truro; short quahaugs/clams; shellfish labeling violation, November 25 in Wellfleet.  Both counts decriminalized.  According to police reports, Breneman was seen digging clams in a supposed grant area on Indian Neck Beach, Wellfleet, then loading same in three (3) blue plastic buckets into his pickup truck and leaving the scene.  Police examined the contraband and found seed quahaugs (less than 3-inch legal size).  The buckets were not tagged in compliance with state regulations.  Breneman was cited. 

FELICIANO, Edwin, 40, 16 Redwing Pl, Dennisport; four counts, larceny over $250; four counts, forgery of check; four counts, uttering a false check, June 9 in Dennis.  Jury trial.  All counts dismissed.

TORTORELLA, Michael, 38, 38 Nathan Dr, Apt 4, Waltham; OUI liquor, August 27 2008 in Dennis.  Final disposition:  probation terminated.  Defendant discharged. 

SMYTH, Frank A, 58, 1500 Washington St, Apt 3R, Hoboken NJ; OUI liquor, August 27 in Dennis.  Guilty plea.  Guilty finding.  Five hundred dollar fine. welcomes thoughtful comments and the varied opinions of our readers.
